Rennes-le-Château, Flying Saucers & Romantic Occultism

The village of Rennes-le-Château, having discredited Pierre Plantard and the Jesus Bloodline Theory on some days of the week, is now promoting Flying Saucers and Romantic Occultism.

For how long this hysterical nonsense will last, nobody can tell. But the non-sequitur of the mysterious Abbé Bérenger Saunière is wearing thin and desperate measures are now being used to attract visitors into the village.

Abbé Saunière’s domain is the LAST PLACE ON EARTH anyone would look for to find evidence of Flying Saucers and Romantic Occultism – for the Domain is the prime example of the fight against the Republic and the establishment of Anti-Republican values. To put it clearly: Abbé Saunière’s Domain was the equivalent of the Lourdes Grotto. The church at Lourdes is not dedicated to the Virgin Mary or to Bernadette Soubirous, but to the Sacred Heart, the very symbol of the Roman Catholic Resistance against the atheistic French Republic during Saunière’s period.

This of course is of no interest at all to the officionados of the “mystery”.

The Holy Water Stoup in Saunière’s church is crushing the statue of the Devil – it is at the Holy Water Stoup that every Roman Catholic makes the Sign of the Cross upon entering a church – and sure enough the Holy Water Stoup is surmounted by Angels making the Sign of the Cross with the words “By This Sign You Will Conquer Him”. The Anti-Republicanism is clear and obvious.

The village of Rennes-le-Château has got nothing on offer for the vistors who go there with high hopes of finding treasures and mysteries. Rennes-le-Château is no different to the Vatican in Rome.

Indeed, what a pity it is that Abbé Saunière cannot rise from the grave – for he would have plenty to say about the nonsense that is written about him and he would permanently bury all the rubbish FOREVER.
