Dear Paul – Thank you for your lovely card – This is Marcel's SUNRISE – a view from my hill-top – all is well – busy & happy – The editors have asked me to write a book on Rennes – If I do it? this winter it will be Simple! an objective view giving credit where credit is due – have started. Scribbling with the little time I have – when I progress more if you wish I can send you copies & ask you what you think if it does NOT bother you? Dear Paul – Thank you for your last Summary. The postman has literally just walked in as I write – with your latest letter! I loved your letter! Loved your article! Loved The Times one too! Thank you very much. I enjoyed video enormously [cf, History of a Mystery, BBC 2, 1996]. It's about time. How about helping me with another article? (you write well) – The idea would be to send it to LYNNE TRUSS of The Times and get a really good dig in about the finances all these con guys get (must not be too rude!) and how no-one seems to care about the State of the Church, Roof, Bell-Tower etc.. I think it is outrageously disgraceful. I know I always plod on with the same Subject and who knows we might get something in the end. They are all take & no give and on the top of it attract all the wrong influences for this.

PS. Must admit also that we have met some wonderful & interesting people that one can spot a mile away through the crowd!
